Withdraw funds via "Card transfer" (FAQ)

1. Are there any limits on withdrawal operations?

Yes, there are limits both per transaction and per month. Please refer to Wirex Limits to learn more. The withdrawal limit depends on whether you are sending funds to your own card or to someone else's. Limits for transfers to third-party cards are lower.

If you're sending to a saved card, the exact limits depend on whether the card is verified. Unverified cards have lower limits, while verified cards have higher limits.

To increase your withdrawal limits, you can verify your saved card. You can find the verification flow here: How to verify a saved card and increase funding limits.

2. Is Card Transfer available in my country?

Card Transfer is available for users in the UK, EEA, APAC, ROW.

3. Are there any fees associated with Card Transfer?

5. I sent a Card Transfer but didn’t receive it, what should I do?

If you sent a Card Transfer but haven’t received it yet don’t worry. Most transfers are processed instantly, but in some cases, it may take a bit longer due to Mastercard or VISA processing.

Here’s what you can do:

  • Check your transaction history in the Wirex app to confirm the status. If it's still Pending after 1 hour, reach out to our support team.
  • If the status of your payment is Completed but you still haven't received it in your local card, we suggest reaching out to your bank.

6. My bank declined the Card Transfer, what should I do?

If your Card Transfer was declined by your bank, it may be due to their policies on Card transfers.

Some banks have limitations that prevent these transfers from being processed.

If your bank has no restrictions, but you’re still experiencing declines, please reach out to our support team, and we’ll be happy to assist you.

7. I want to send BTC as a Card Transfer, how does it work?

When you send a Card Transfer using cryptocurrency (e.g., BTC), it will first be exchanged into a traditional currency before the transfer is initiated.

Here’s how it works: 1. When you start a Card Transfer with crypto, you'll be offered an exchange rate to convert it into a traditional currency (e.g., USD, EUR). 2. Once confirmed, the exchanged amount will be sent to your chosen card as a regular Card Transfer.

This ensures smooth processing, as Card Transfers are completed in traditional currencies.
