Wirex is committed to providing transparent, fair, and clearly disclosed pricing for all crypto-asset services, in full alignment with the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) and Italian regulatory guidance for CASPs (Crypto-Asset Service Providers).
All fees, commissions, and network costs are displayed to users before the execution of each transaction. By using Wirex services, users acknowledge and accept the fees listed on this page.
Scope of Fees
The fees described in this disclosure apply to the following services offered by Wirex:
- Crypto-asset trading and exchange services
- Purchases of crypto-assets via debit or credit card
- Blockchain transfer services
- Custody and account maintenance for inactive accounts
- Recovery services for misdirected crypto-asset transfers
Fees may vary based on market conditions, network congestion, promotional programmes, and regulatory requirements. The latest applicable fees are always visible within the Wirex app or web platform prior to confirming a transaction.
Price Formation for Crypto-Asset Exchanges
Wirex determines crypto-asset prices based on real-time market data aggregated from external liquidity providers and trading venues.
Wirex does not act as a market maker and does not set prices arbitrarily. Prices shown in the app are executable firm quotes that include:
- Market bid/ask data
- Spread reflecting execution costs, liquidity, and slippage risk
- Applicable trading fees
Price quotes may change due to liquidity conditions or market volatility. Users always see the final execution price and total costs before confirming a transaction.
Trading Fees (Crypto-Asset Exchange Services)
Fixed percentage-based trading fees apply to each exchange transaction:
| Tier | Assets Included | Fee |
| Tier 1 | Stablecoins | 0% |
| Tier 2 | Bitcoin, Ethereum | 1.50% |
| Tier 3 | Other major crypto-assets | 1.50% |
| Tier 4 | Low-liquidity tokens (market cap < €100M) | 1.75% |
Fees are deducted from the spending currency and reflected in the quoted exchange rate. All fees are displayed to users before execution.
Crypto Purchases via Debit or Credit Card
Crypto purchases made using debit or credit cards are subject to a processing fee.
- Current fee: 0% (promotional programme)
Standard fees outside promotional periods:
- 0.8% for purchases funded with fiat or stablecoins
- 2.3% for purchases funded with other crypto-assets
The applicable fee is always shown in the app before payment confirmation.
Blockchain Network Fees (On-Chain Transfers)
Transfers to external wallets may incur blockchain network fees (“gas fees”), which are:
- Determined by the blockchain network
- Not retained by Wirex
- Subject to conditions such as network congestion and transaction size
Wirex provides a real-time estimate of network fees before a transfer is confirmed.
Recovery Fee
Wirex may, at its discretion, attempt to recover crypto-assets sent to an incorrect or incompatible blockchain address, where technically feasible.
- Recovery Fee: €0
- Service provided on a best-effort basis
- Recovery is not guaranteed
- Unsupported blockchains or assets may be non-recoverable
