What is Wirex One? 

Wirex One is the next generation of the Wirex experience — rebuilt to be faster, cleaner, and centred around you having full control of your money. 

It brings together crypto, everyday spending, bank transfers, and digital asset management into one modern app. Everything you already use, now working better together. 

Why should I upgrade to Wirex One? 

Wirex One is built around what matters to you. Here's what you get: 

•  A faster, smoother app — less waiting, more doing 

•  True ownership of your funds, with account keys only you control 

•  Crypto, spending, and banking — seamlessly connected in one place 

•  Next-generation account security and infrastructure 

•  First access to new features rolling out exclusively on Wirex One 

The best part? Everything you have now comes with you. It's an upgrade, not a start-over. 

Is Wirex One secure? 

Yes — and it's a meaningful step up. 

Wirex One gives you true ownership of your account: your assets are protected by keys that belong only to you, on next-generation infrastructure. It's a new level of control over your money — and it comes built in. 

Will my card still work? 

Yes — your card keeps working exactly as it does today, throughout and after the upgrade. 

Online, in-store, wherever you currently use it — nothing changes on that front. 

What happens to my EUR bank account? 

Your EUR account details — IBAN, BIC, everything — stay exactly the same. No interruptions, nothing to update, no action needed on your part. 

Incoming and outgoing EUR transfers continue to work as normal. 

What about my GBP bank account? 

GBP account services will be available in Wirex One shortly. We'll let you know as soon as it's live — you won't need to do anything in the meantime. 

Do I need to move X-Accounts funds first? 

No action needed — your X-Accounts are fully available in Wirex One. Balances, earnings, everything. Just upgrade and they're there. 

Will all my balances be available in Wirex One? 

Yes — all your balances will be available in Wirex One once you've switched. For most users, everything is simply there when you open the new app. 

One thing to check before you start: if you still hold assets previously delisted from the Wirex platform, those balances won’t be available in Wirex One. We recommend withdrawing or transferring them before upgrading. 
If you've already upgraded and realise you have remaining delisted balances, contact our Support team — we'll help you sort it. 

Will my previous transaction history be available in Wirex One? 

Your previous transaction history from the Wirex App won’t appear inside Wirex One — but it's not going anywhere. 

Your Wirex App stays accessible even after you've upgraded. You can log in at any time to review past activity, download statements, or check previous transactions. Nothing is deleted or lost. 

Think of it as your archive — still available whenever you need it. 

Who is eligible to upgrade to Wirex One? 

Customers with a verified, active Wirex account are eligible to upgrade — as long as there are no active restrictions or limitations on the account. 

The easiest way to check? Just download Wirex One and start signing up with your existing email address. Once you register, the app will automatically confirm your eligibility and guide you through the next steps. 

What if my account isn't eligible for the upgrade? 

If you can't see the upgrade option in your Wirex app, it's most likely because your account verification is still pending or incomplete. 

You have two straightforward options: 

•  Complete verification in the current Wirex app. Once done, the app will reflect your eligibility and you can upgrade seamlessly. 

•  Set up a new account directly in Wirex One. Download the app and complete your account setup from scratch — you'll get full access to the Wirex One experience right away. 

Either route gets you to Wirex One. Our Support team is happy to help if you're not sure which is right for you. 

How do I upgrade to Wirex One? 

Straightforward. Here's all it takes: 

•  Download the Wirex One app  

•  Sign up using the same email address as your current Wirex account — this is what links everything across 

•  Follow the in-app steps to complete your setup 

Most users are done in under 10 minutes. The app guides you every step of the way. 

Why do I need to create a new account? 

It's actually one of the most meaningful parts of moving to Wirex One. 

In your current Wirex account, assets are held and managed on your behalf by the platform. Wirex One changes that: it's built around true ownership, meaning your funds are secured by account keys that belong only to you. Creating a new account is how those keys get generated — uniquely for you, the first time you sign up. 

The result: your funds are truly yours. Not even Wirex can access them. 

Do I need to verify my identity again? 

In most cases, no. Your existing verification carries over and you won't need to repeat anything. 

Occasionally, some users may be asked for a quick additional check due to regulatory requirements. If that applies to you, the app will tell you clearly and walk you through it — it's usually very quick. 

Will there be any disruption during the upgrade? 

The upgrade is designed to be quick and smooth. Some features may briefly pause while your new account is being set up, but any interruption is minimal. 

Your card and EUR banking continue as normal throughout — so your day-to-day isn't affected. 

What's the deadline, and what happens if I wait? 

The deadline for customers in the EEA, UK, and Australia is 30 June 2026 — and we strongly recommend upgrading before then.. 

After this date, the current Wirex App experience will no longer support transactions for these regions. In practice, this means: 

•  Your card access may be affected 

•  X-Accounts will be closed, with funds returned to your main balance 

•  Bank and crypto transfers will be paused 

•  Earnings and Credits features will be unavailable 

You’ll still be able to upgrade to Wirex One after the deadline, and your services will be restored once setup is completed. However, upgrading before 30 June 2026 helps ensure a smooth transition without interruptions. 
For customers in other countries and regions, migration timelines may be announced separately. We still recommend upgrading early to enjoy the latest Wirex experience and avoid future disruption. 

Can I choose not to upgrade? 

Yes — the choice is yours. If you decide not to move to Wirex One, you can close your current account and withdraw or transfer your funds before 30 June 2026. Our Support team can walk you through it if needed.
